All their shock seem too stiff. They need a lot of work on them out of the package. What ones did you get?

Did you get the white 'scale' shocks, the silver 'ultimate scale' shocks or the coil overs? I personally think the white shocks are the worst, I gave up on them a long time ago and now just use SCX-10 shocks.

If they're the coilover style, finely sand and polish the shock body the collar slides on. It wouldn't hurt to polish the shock shaft as well.

There's two o-rings in the bottom cap/end of the shock, if you pull the one closest to the opening (shaft side) out they work much better. At least mine did.

the problem is the tiny hole in the valve/piston,it gets coverd by the eclips.
take off the rc4wd valve/piston and replace it with scx10 shock valve/piston.

i run the rc4wd dual spring coilovers on (6) of my scalers and they work just fine after the mod.

1/16th slash springs fit just right for more spring rate options.

Thanks for the help. I sanded the piston w/500 grit paper then polished them w/my dremel-super smooth! I was able to keep both bottom o-rings in there after polishing them. Replaced the springs w/some softer ones & its got some real nice flex now.
