| SCX10 shock question...
So I cut my frame and built a truggy and made a servo mount and now I have full flex but still have room for more. But my shocks are bottomed out. Already remove the rubber bump stops. If I lift one of the front tires other 3 stay on the ground. Axles still have room for more flex looking for alittle longer shocks than stock any suggestions. What is the stock shaft length on SCX10? What is the shaft length on the proline powerstrokes |

Stock is 90mm iirc Prolines are 95mm? Might as well go 100mm, give yourself room for future articulation wants. |

The stocks are about 90mm The power strokes are 90mm as well but come with a different bottom to run them at 95mm. Rc4wd make many different lengths to fine tune your truck. Remember for a 1/10 scale truck 1in of articulation is one foot for a 1.1 so the goal is to keep it realistic. Some guys will say that to much articulation kills the feel of a scale truck. But build it how you want it Last edited by LIFTED-ZJ; 01-06-2011 at 11:03 PM. |

Personally I wouldn't go with any more articulation that what the stock setup produces. More isn't better. Anything more and moving away from the scale look.

Too much flex and it will become floppy. If you just want it to tuck in better you could make sure you are using the shortest rod ends you can find for the shocks and/or make some custom mounts that lower the suspension. Angling the shocks may also allow things to tuck in more. | |

Okay thank you ill stick with the original length my go with a set of proline power strokes and make some different front shock loops. The rears I can still go lower. I measured and I can lift one wheel 5.25 of an inch so ill stick with that.
