I only run 4-link in the rear.

Lower links are 6x106mm & the uppers are 6x98mm. If you have the truss you should have the hardware.

4 Link for the rear. The uppers need to be the same length as your lowers.

94s10blazin, i was able to use everything with that came with the rtr. the only thing i needed was a long bolt and a nut to go thru the truss for the link mounting. was that your dingo in the pics at st. peters? the one that damn near fell thru the ice?

^^^you should have been able to use the long screw that was used on the rear upper triangle. I did and it worked out fine. does it handle(articulate) better with 4 link only in the rear and triangle in the front?
oh, I added 1.5 oz. to each wheel and... wow what a difference! wheels stay planted= more articulation.

good call. i didnt even think about that... as far as articulation goes, i dont think its any better or worse. but, i noticed with the 3 link in the rear, the axle had some side to side sway. 4 linking it took care of that.

I run 4 link rear, and the upper links are the same length as the lowers.

I didnt notice better articulation with a 4-link, it actually got worse...then i bought 100mm shocks, and my articulation was back.

4-Linking a rig isn't going to give you more articulation. It provides better geometry throughout the suspension's travel.

I am not sure how running the same length on upper and lower can give you the proper pinion angle. I have a fairly steep drive shaft angle and could not run the same sized links on all 4 points. The pinion angle is way off....Can you clarify for me how you set the pinion angle to run true with the shaft? I get tons of chatter if its off even a little bit. (running MIP's).

Pictures of your set up and pinion angle would be cool! Thanks!

I plan to try 4 link setup on rear axle instead of 3 link on my RTR DIngo. My main goal is to get rid of the leaning chasissis on one side when aplying throttle (torque twist). Can I use the same lenght of upper links as lower? Because in the box there are 4 additional links exactly the same as those lower links. Are these meant for be used for upper links or are they just spare?
Also while searching on the topic I came across different information on flexing. Some says it articulates more some less... What is the truth?

I have 4-linked front and rear on my RTR. I used all of the stock parts wich came with it.
The articulation is about that same as it was before but the truck is much more stable and controlable and it doesnt move side to side anymore.

I tried to use those spare links as an upper link and they are too long. They make rear axle angled cca. 15 degrees bacwards (it is not properly lined as with 3 links). So I figured out they are to long to use them. Any opinions?

I just finished making mine using 4-40 threaded rod and traxxas rod ends.
made them the same length as the lower link bars and it works great, if not better than the stock 3 link.. it keeps the truck planted better and with the same articulation.
