| four link kit
how much flex do you gain with a four link on the rear and maybe on the front?

i dont think you really gain flex it just moves more freelly unless you make the links longer and if you add longer shocks, I think it will add for travel. but I'm still new to all this so i could be wrong.

i guess what im asking is i want to gain more travel for articlation im not happy with it how its set up now i actually removed the bump stops on the shocks and am a little happier with it but i would like to see more. so i guess i would be better with a four link in the rear and longer shocks.

| no, it does not gain any more flex, what controls that is how much travel your shocks have, unless your suspension geometry limints flex and if thats the case you have problems. the stock 3link does not limint travel its the shocks that are liminting the scx-10 (but IMO they are perfect) 4-link just has better control over the axle through its range of motion.

yea after i thought about it a little more the shocks limit the flex so i might go with a longer shock.

the weights in the wheels stated above does work and it's almost a free upgrade. use the sticky weigts they put on 1:1 wheels.

i think that might be my next step is cut the foam in my tires and add bb's to them becaue i have a ton of bb's and that would be a free upgrade. how much weight are you guys running inside of your tires.

| i use 1/4in lead wire works great, but BBs is the worst way to do it! unbalanced wheels, throws your rig all around with any sort of wheel speed, and you loose your foams ablity to do its job

on the wheel weights, just go to your local tire and wheel shop and ask for stick on weights. there usally about a dollar or so for a 3-4 oz stick. i run ALOT of weight in my wheels prolly mor ethan allowed by comp rules, but i havent been in any comps yet to check. as for the 4link vs 3 link, i have question. why is it everyone says use it in the rear, but not so much the front? i ahve mine 4 linked front and rear, and it seems to do really well. just looking for the pros and cons and other useres opinions. |

smoother movement of the axle better suspension geometry less axle roll than 3-link smaller chance of failure less side to side movement of the axle cons of 4-link none that i can think of

haha i have over 12 oz in my fronts, and close to 10 in my rears. you wouldnt belive how well it hooks, and flexes. as for the cons of the 4 link in the front, the main reason i asked, is you always see people say 4link the rear, but very rarely say much about doing the front.
