You can buy them at most automotive parts stores. I know ckrccrawlers has them as well - link below: http://www.ckrccrawlers.com/a1-stick-on-wheel-weights-1-p-381.html Wenatchee, WA? I hear they are starting the Smelter back up......at Alcoa. |

Yep, take the wheels apart, wrap the stick around the wheel (most have an adhesive backing to hold them on), and have a pair of tin snips or HD wire cutters as you will most likely have to cut the weight to get a full wrap on the wheel or double wrap if you prefer on the front wheels. Just make sure you stay inline with the wheel as you wrap it so the beadlocks fit back up properly. The weights from CKRC fit the stock wheel perfectly. If your running the stock wheels, foams and tires it will all fit without having to trim the foams (even with 2 wraps of weight), it's a bit tight but it fits. |

OK, I'll do that. Is there any other inexpensive mods(below $20) that you recommend?

Okay I see you have the TR - which did you get the Honcho or Dingo? Doesn't really matter but I suggest if you have not done it yet, then a BEC is well worth the $25/$30 bucks - Link: http://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/cse095-0022-00.htm Next will be a better servo now that you've weighted the wheels, like a Hi-Tec 5645MG - link: http://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/hrc35645s.htm Then save up for the upgrades.......but have fun w/ it in the mean time. Ok, I got a SCX10TR Dingo.. I have heard that they are too fast.. One guy put in a 55T motor, and it looked nicer to crawl with. I found an Axial 55T motor for 12 bucks. Its the AX10's motor.. Should I get it? Haha, what is the BEC and what would it do? The servo is a little out of my price range right now, but maybe in a month or two. |

Hopefully you got a smaller pinion gear (14 tooth) with the kit, I would put it on to slow it down. Otherwise the 55T Axial or even RC4WD's cheapy motors will slow it down but only if you change out the pinion gear on the motor. A BEC will keep the stock electronics from whacking out, glitching, etc. DO a search on it - probably a train load of info on it - but you'll get the drift of it. Here are a few links: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=286808&highlight=BEC http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=292052&highlight=BEC http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=289450&highlight=BEC |

Check and see if you got an extra pinion in 1 of the bags w/ the truck - try it b4 you spend the dough on a motor.

My wheels, have small rock pebbles inside the tires, with very little foam. I can get unbelieveble grip with them. IDK its just cheaper to go out in the yard, grab some small rock pebbles and put them in the tire lmao

As far as motors go, you probably won't like the 55T motor because it severer slows the truck down and makes the "Scaler" type of truck way too slow! Try changing pinion gears on the motor, alot of times they make more of a difference than anything else. If you have more questions, send me a PM and I'll do my best to help you out... Good luck! | |

Thanks! You guys are really welcoming.. I have a 27T motor. I'll try changing the pinions first, weighting the tires, and buying a 4200 mah battery. |
