well I just made the jump to a futaba 4pl...... and I'll tell you although it is priceier thanthe rc4wd radio u linked. It's worth it. I feel like for $200-250 you get a $400+ radio. If you shop around you can find em around 200. includes 1 rx and additionals are around 50 bucks which is average or under most other rx's out there. 4 channel with a dial, 3 position switch, mixing capabilities and more. no I don't work for futaba, I just have fallen in love with this radio. http://www.futaba-rc.com/radios/futk1400.html |

I agree, I have the 4PL as well. Seems to be a great radio for the price. Seems that these new PL models (including the 3PL) are pretty good. You might consider the 3PL, it is actually a 4 channel radio but the 4th channel is on/off only. It doesn't have the dial or as many options as the 4PL, but for $115 it looks like a good deal. I am actually considering buying one to have an extra radio since I need another RX, and for the $65 price differential between buying just an RX it seems worth it, but I can't make up my mind.

I have that radio for one of my scaler's and have not had a problem with it and the receiver is small. I fit a FXR And the receiver in the Axial scx10 electronics box. It's not a 4PL but work s great for $90
