Which ESC with summit trans ans brushed motor?

OK guys I'm running in circles here..

I'm running a honcho with 1.9 roklox and I'm in the process of putting in a summit trans and maxx drive shafts.
I'm going to use an emaxx 21t motor because i have it lying around.
batteries will be 7 cell packs because its what i have
I will eventually go to 3s lipo when i have the cash

I was set on the tekin fxr but just read it needs 35T or greater and I afraid this will be way too slow and i can't use the motor i already have.

I'd go with a sidewinder but i need to go brushed and i wasn't looking to buy the link. Will i be able to set it up for brushed without the link?

So what should i use?
I'm looking for under $100
