Default Is it really necessary...

To hack the "stock" bumber off of the grille on the Hilux/Bruiser/Mountaineer cabs to mount onto an SCX10?

I'm kinda digging the look of the original

Shouldn't if you mount the cab correctly. You might have to stretch the front axle out a little bit to match up. The cab will prolly sit too low to hide the frame rails for any decent size tires.

That is a cool color

A friend of mine kept his stock bumper for a while. Then he cut it off when he put on a winch.

I liked it the second I dug it out of the box O'stuff at the swap meet!!! It is growing on me more and more, I'm really liking the clear OG glass and the grille is detailed nicely. Was thinking of a chassis mounted servo winch and just a brush guard to add to the front...more to protect it than for any functional value, nice and "stock" looking. The tube cage/flatbed is where I'll spend the time and effort

Nope, I ran mine for ages with the stock front/bumper on it and loved the look!!! I shoulda never got rid of it but I went with a custom bumper and it wouldnt work with the stocker. If I ever buy another itll stay stock bumpered I believe.
