Default SCX10 Driveshaft

My driveshafts have been popping of randomly, front and back, off the trans and diffs. Well i lost the front half of the front driveshaft. And there arent any SCX10 ebay chop shops so im out of luck there.
I saw these and was wondering if they fit.

I agree with discgolferlee on the MIPs. If you search "drivelines" in this or the AX-10 section you will find many different options that people have used.

yep, the stock ones are garbage, broke both of mine in a matter of 20 min my first trip out. MIP are nice but there are tons of other makers out there.

Alright thanks guys. I've had this truck since christmas and i've never had any issues with them breaking but they pop off the diffs and trans alot.

So these do break alot once you get traction i guess, so i'll go with steel ones.

My drive shafts have been solid since day one and my SCX10 (kit) is almost two years old now. Blue lock tight seems to do the trick. Maybe it's because I built mine and that is why they are still holding after all this time?

Also what kind of motor battery set up are you using? a 3s will be to much power and will pop off the shafts everytime.

I am running 2s with a 45T motor.

Wouldn't it help if he loosened up the slipper clutch a little?

the set screw it's what wrong with the stock shafts....it the yokes ears being too soft and pulling away from the u-joint.

Traxxas Stampede driveshafts with Axial DS retainer rings is a cheaper alternative, but it's hard to beat MIP's .

bite the bullet and spend the coin on some decent metal shafts. from what i've read and tried the brand doesnt matter as much as how well you put them together. grab a pair, take ur time and threadlock everything and never worry about it again.

I've been beating my Honcho with the vxl system and 3S with 0 issues. Blue lock tight and double set screws on each u joint and bingo no issues. I haven't seen a reason to.justify the $50+ for the mips. Just makesure they r line up property and tight.
