I know that the kit comes with aluminum links and you will be able to build it to your liking. I spoke to the guys at RPP and they were a great help in pointing me in the right direction. I went with the kit.

I have the RTR i drove it threw mud and water and all shorts of stuff. Runs great still. You can still buy all the upgrades for the rtr. Really the only reason i got the rtr is cause i didnt have enough to buy all the electronics to go with the kit.

| If you go with the rtr, the aluminum link upgrde will cost you $50. If you are new to r/c, you will learn a lot from the kit by having to build it piece by piece. Just my $0.02.
