| Jeep JK Red Rocket (Picture Heavy)
This is my first build of a 1.9 JK using the scx10 as my base platform. The first JK I built was a 2.2 based on a venom creeper with a custom frame I built out of aluminum. Unfortunately this time around the only JK body I could find was New Bright's disastrous Swamp Dawg with all that fake mud. Right now i have been switching parts around but here is the base of what i got running in it. Switch between the two: -Velineon brushless ESC and Motor -LRP AI Waterproof frontrunner -titan 20t -Tekin 55t -Hitec 645mg servo with homemade hand bros. -Venom 3s Lipo -RC4WD ttc Mickey Thompson Baja Claws (currently in the mail) Pictures will come in folowing posts. Next Step is to get some Delrin and make links to extend the wheelbase and figure out how to mount it. Any Suggestions?

Thank you. I really got to give it to ford for the color i just stole it from my truck so it would match since no one makes a 97 f150 body nor can i find one. |

Looking good. You should fill the grooves in the fenders with Bondo to smooth them out. The flat fenders for the 1:1 JKs are flat and smooth. I found two of the New Bright "muddy" Jeeps after Christmas. I have the first body disassembled so I can start removing the brown "mud" paint. Hopefully wet sanding will remove it with out being a huge pain in the ass. I'm building a scaler of my 1:1 JK Unlimited Rubicon.

I was going to fill them in but got to anxious and couldnt wait to get some paint on it. I dont think wet sanding will do it its on there pretty good i started with 180 (should of used 220) and then went to a 400 then 600 then 1500.

just rub a cloth with this stuff lightly on the body. the mudpaint will vanish like snow for the sun. afterwards I do a bit of wet sanding. then clean the body real good with water and soap | |

looks good. i got an lexan HPI jeep rubicon body (right now its a transparent green) for my nitro savage that i've decided to cut down (its 1/8th scale) and use on my honcho. just looking for some ideas for what to do with it before i start hacking it up. also nice ford, dad had one his was a 97 F150 ext'd cab 3 door 2wd with the 4.2L v6 automatic with matching canopy that was never off the truck... had to do the headgasket on it though, then parents wanted to get a bigger truck to haul a camper so the sold the F150 and bought a 1 ton dually. i loved that truck, got to go for a test drive with the lady that was interested in buying it, sold it for 6000 bucks... unfortunately it had some other bigger problems or i would have bought it from my parents. |

The creeper is my old one which I regretibly no longer own. And yes I mad that chassis out of some aluminum stock and a little time with a bandsaw and file. |
