| broken scx10
so i got my titan 12t in my scx10 and it was running good until a ran into a problem. there is a piece that comes out of the transmission and the driveshafts attach to it and i broke it in half. how can i fix it? do i have to replace the tranny of can i just buy that little part and if so which do you suggest? also where the driveshaft connects to the rear axle there are to small bearings that go around the shaft connected to the axle and one fell out. i have it and i was wondering if i can just stick it back in there? last question is what gears would ya'll use for the titan 12t it really isnt getting the wheels speed i anticipated. (lipos coming soon) any links to any of the mentioned parts would be extremely helpful. thanks mudder |

You need a steel out drive. When you take the trans apart you can install a steel idler and a steel output gear. Robinson Racing make the two steel gears. The stock top gear is steel. The transmission has two plastic gears from the factory.

yep. doing a scx10 build right now and I just took out the plastic gears and soft outdrives and replaced them with these. http://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/rrp1542.htm http://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/rrp1541.htm the first part I listed would replace the broken part you got only it's solid steel. if you don't want to spend allot you can keep your plastic gears and just replace the outdrives with these. it's your choice http://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/ax30544.htm |

The problem I found with just the steel outdrives is that they just cause the tranny gears to strip quicker. Going with the Robinson all in one steel outdrive is the best bet.
