| Moving Time! electronics locations
ok so i have an scx-10 with the dingo body, every time i go out, the same isssue comes up- the front end is lighter than a feather, and the a$$ end tends to bury itself into anything and everything my goal in this thread is to do a reverse on the reciever box and battery tray, moving the weight to the front and essentially making a scale-looking fuel cell out of the reciever box, if anyone has already done this i would love to know how before i wing it, otherwise i will upload pics as i work on it. |

I'm thinking about moving my electronics as well. I have read a few threads where guys have either made or taken the stock rx box and moved it to the rear and made a "fuel tank/radio box" in the rear.. Looks pretty good too.

Mounting the battery upfront will make a huge difference, and putting the rx box in back is easy as pie. Test fit your components and go for it, you won't be sorry .

Do it like this: Badger's Axial SCX-10 build w/ Proline CGR body & Accessories You end up with everything out front. Only complication would be with a chassis mounted servo setup. This is by far the best method I've seen for putting thee battery up front with a stock setup. Last edited by DeaDShorT; 01-27-2011 at 05:32 PM. |

Thats a pretty sweet way of installing the electronics. My problem at the moment is I am running a Traxxas XL5 and the cooling fins stick up to far and hit everything "tranny wise".. I will soon upgrade to another ESC & Motor Combo most likely a Novak Brush less System or Mamba Max Combo.. | |

@ 08sv:: i actually kept the battery straight, i used longer screws with spacers and it actually can go through full travel without hitting the top of the servo, i was surprised at how easy it actually was

I've been laying out the electronics in my scx10 and run into the same problem. I'm going to need an extension and Y harness to run my steering and winch servo's, need the Y harness to power up the servo's from the CCBEC. I actually think my clod super comp rig was less of a mess as far as wiring |
