Default shortening a Honcho wheelbase

I have a Honcho kit that I want to shorten the WB on. I need to shorten it 1" and I need to do it with the back axle only due to the body that I am installing already has mounting holes drilled and the front wheels line up pretty good. Can anyone tell me how long the upper and lower links need to be?

Umm, not to sound rude, but you answered your question yourself.

Seriously though, if you want to shorten the WB 1" by only shortening the rear end, then the rear link need to be shortened 1" right?

My problem is I don't know what length the links need to be in milimeters.

Google is your friend. Covert 106mm to in....4.17"...subtract 1" = 3.17"....3.17" to mm = 80.5mm. This should get you close.

You'll have to triangulate a little bit to get them where you want.

What I used to do back in the day when we used to fab up all our links from scratch is put your axles where you want them, build a support for the chassis (I used some scrap wood under the skid), secure it all in place with whatever (thin strips of duct tape worked fine) and just measure them from eye to eye. You can have the body on to locate exactly where you want the rear end. You'll have to figure out your ride height and spring compression on the shocks (your WB will lengthen a little). I always used some stock delrin rod and Traxxas rod ends for my custom links.
