| Any how-to's for 4-link?
I have a trail honcho and want aluminium 4-link front and rear and also aluminium for the steering links. Kits seem to be way expensive though.

This has always been my suggestion....Aluminum rod, 4-40 all thread rod, whatever rod ends you want, a digital or dial caliper, go to the Axial web site, check out the links you want...ie, get the product manual for the aluminum kit upgrade and it'll tell you exactly what length the links are in MM. Go and make them out of your own material. Bam, you've got a 4 link and aluminum steering at a cheaper price. If you feel the need for bling, just polish the aluminum until it shines. Epic.

I put the plastic 4-link on last night. I used traxxas P3 112mm Rods. It actually helped out with the angle of the drive-shaft a little.

don't 4-link the front. You will have better traction, and performance with the Y-link or a three link. For rear 4-link axial truss use same length links upper and lower

Thanks for the suggestions on materials. What about what the rod ends attach to? Also on a side note why do people want to frame mount their servo? I can't see the advantage, or is it just for scale? |

I used the traxxas rod ends, 8-32 threaded rod and 1/4 stainless tubing. The stainless doesn't burr up as much as aluminum does. got the idea from here: http://www.crawlcanada.com/forum/sho...tainless+steel Last edited by seanh; 03-21-2011 at 09:28 PM. Reason: photo |

ok please forgive the newbie & questions but i guess the revo rod ends use the stock axial hardware to bolt up or do you also use the revo hardware in the axial axles at the connection points? i am running a dingo scx10 chassis & would love to do this very thing! but i am also very new to this & am learning... thanks! |

tra2742 and 6/32 althread work also if ya dont wanna run the bigger revo ends. The ball is a hair narrower then stock so just use some washers so they dont move side to side. I also installed these on the shock bottoms for alittle more height.

I think I will stick to the 5347 large review ends since I have not ordered... but for the threaded rod..... for 8-32, is there a "metric" way of describing? My part of the world uses metric... if not, i'll just wait for the rod ends to come before searching for the threaded rods. Thanks a lot guys |

8/32 would be close to 6mm according to the link below, but i think revo ends are 4mm? probably best to get the links 1st http://infinityline.net/conversion.htm Last edited by Cableman; 03-29-2011 at 07:54 AM. |
