Talking Proline Jeep JK 2dr

New to SCX 10.

Bought a Dingo rtr and convert it to a 2 Dr JK. All electronics and mechanics are still stock. Aluminum links are on the way.

Dingo tr:

Metallic black body with outlaw black hard top. Unfortunately...cannot see any difference....

WB seems a little longer than the body , that is due to my rear 4 links using spare plastic links. When aluminum links come, the problem might be solved.

Homemade side mirrors. Use two stands from dell keyboard and pieces of plastic plates. The only bad thing is I don't have little mirror to mount... so use aluminum tape instead....

That's pretty much now. may upgrade in the future

Default Inner fender added~

Inner fender added~ Use notebook cover which is easy to bend as back layer. Attach plastic plates as the front layer to resist water, mud....

Thinking of what color it could be to get better looking....Or just leave it as is....It may look better after going out and becoming dirty. Any suggestions?

Looks good. For the top you could always mask everything but the top and spray the outside with pactra backing black. It holds up real well.

Sounds good. I may choose to mask the top and four fenders and try to paint another color from outside on the left~ Then the scratched parts will leave me some realistic black~

Default More pics~

Finally had a chance to go out. There is a very good place under highway bridge for trail run. Had a lot of fun. Almost forgot to take pictures...

After this run, I am thinking to make the lights of the body real and get more stickers on body~

I didn't find any styrene plastic around so I just use some polyester film as the first layer to prevent mud and water. The film is easy to crack when bent. So I had to use second layer which was cut from a notebook cover, and attached the flat film to the notebook cover piece by piece.....I think styrene would work better since it is not so easy to crack when bent.
