I want my honcho to be able to go over some big rocks, go through mud, and everything in between! I want know what are the best tires, everything! so thanks for the help guys in advance !

Congrats on the new purchase and welcome to the new hobbie!! As for motor I went with a traxxas Titan motor, castle s2v ecs, and the hitec 645 servo. I'm still currently running the stock tires for now for the little times that I took it out it's worked well. Hopes this help!! And enjoy!!

buy spare allen keys 1.5mm 2.0mm and 2.5mm and both ball point and non ball makes a difference. Also if you plan on mudding or water buy a big tube of grease the kit doesnt come with enough. suggestions on motor, i purchased the 27t axial motor for dirt cheap im very happy with it. I also got a RC4wd 35T motor and love it for crawling! I hear that the Traxxas XL-5 is a good purchase for the price and is waterproof out of the box i hear? i found a novak super rooster for dirt cheap at a pawn shop and i love it. but its pricey to start the hitec 645 is a good start. the receiver and transmitter is up to you and your preference but i run the old axial receiver and transmitter and no problems. watch your servo arm it may come loose, adding thread lock to the screw to hold the arm on works good. driveshafts will probably be the first to go, so expect to have to purchase metal ones later or do it before you break them then you can run the new ones after thats my 2 cents off the top of my head |

Putting the drive shaft together may be the hardest part of the build, well, at least for me when I worked on mine (Step 10 in the Honcho Manual). Putting that metal driveshaft yoke and plastic drive shaft together may take a while, so watch out for that. It may get frustrating at times, but here's a video that I followed that might help: Building The Drive Shafts. After that, most of the build should be a breeze! |

| It works great! Really smooth when crawling at low speed, good drag brake. Mine is the 35T motor so I get good wheel speed as well when I want to get out of trouble like getting stuck and going uphill.

I would also stay with the flat irons for a while. You might like them a lot.

becareful of doing this or moving the shocks lower, my brother in law broke his driveshafts, and my new driveshafts don't work very well with a bigger shock.
