| the all to familiar swap?
i got a ax10 off a guy for cheap awhile back just because i couldnt pass up a good deal and bc ive been thinking about a scale build but dont want to sacrifice my venom for it. so, in order to swap to a scx-10, for the most part, what do i need? is everything the same except for the chassis and shocks? center skid and links the same? too* not "to" (title)

I just finished a conversion about a week ago I bought the scx10 frame set. 65mm upper links 94mm lowers it would help if they were one or two mm shorter (big deal) Axial's aluminum scale shocks i got the hpi bronco to fit pretty well with that wheel base (bronco fits stock scx10) so i knew i was close, since i think the stockers were 91mm off of the original scx10 kit. and if you buy the 94mm lowers be sure to use axials shortest rod ends |

get the SCX frame set complete ax30525 and the link set either 11.4 or 12.3 ax30459, AX30550 That will net you everything you need except the shocks, and those you can pick up used for a good price or move up into the aluminum axial shocks or the proline scale shocks |

the ax10 and the scx10 skid are NOT the same, it wont work, the tranny on a ax10 skid would sit to high to work in a scx10. and you would have no way to inboard the links. the ax10 skid is flat , the scx10 is not.
