Default Dr.Frank's Mogster

Hello,

after watching the Mog Shop site for a while and looking 100x at Brandon's Mog build at the Axial blog, i had to build my own Mog.

I kept it "simple" like Brandon did and use some Axial, VP and Felsenfest stuff, mixed it, brassed a bit and ready was the basic Mogster. It'd tooked
about 2 weeks to finish it, like it is for now.

Brassed parts after painting:

...and mounted:

The body is the Tamiya Mog and "pre" rusted inside:

The Brood 45T worked with an HPI reduction gearbox under the hood:

...that's what the ants can see, or me after a driving fault:

The hole thing ready mounted and painted outside:

I took it with on a 3 week holiday trip to France and Spain (...one week's already gone ). The weather was hot and dusty here in Spain, so the
Mog got his first scratches:

More pictures of the Mogster's holidays and some more scale parts will follow when i'm back home.

Greetings Frank

Thanks guys, i'm using Vanquish 8 deg. chubs/knuckles and a homemade
steel tie rod.

It's a SCX10 frame and i use a HPI reduction gearbox, which is
made for the wheely kiing. To mount the motor gear combo
i use a L shaped aluminum profile.

7.4 is correct. The Felsenfest distribution gear box is Set
to 1.6.

First off I want to say thanks to you and Brandon. You guys have inspired me to
build a unimog and now thats all I can think about.

I have some questions for you. What did you use in the place of the rear bumper. I can see that it looks like aluminum but what is it? Also what did
you use as a tool box? What futures plans do you have?

Your Mog came out awesome. Thanks Frank..

Thanks to you too, the toolbox is an electronic aluminium case and it can take
batteries up to 3S and 2200mAh (which you can't see when it's closed).

When i'm back from holidays i'll add some more scalish items.

Greetings Frank

Great looking Mog Frank. Keep adding the scale goodies and posting pics. I am very interested in this build and may just do a Mog myself...
