Alternative bodies?

Looking for a different body for a mud basher on an scx frame. Would a body to fit a Savage work? Tmaxx ? It has to cover the frame length wise. What have people used. Looking towards something like a old old full-size pickup or maybe an el camino.

Yes, the bodies will work. You just have to check the wheelbase and might have to make some custom links to match the wheelbase of the body. You might also need to do a little extra trimming on fenders and bumpers to allow the wheels to flex. You may need to make custom body mounts.
