| It's Gonna B Big
Wanted a monster truck for awhile now. Couldn't decide on a Clod Buster or TXT. Both didn't really offer anything in the handling dept so I thought why not make one from a Honcho kit. Picked up the Kit yesterday and added Wraith shocks for height and 2.2 Imex ALL-T tires. Looking good so far, body is coming. Come on Fed-ex getting antsy. Test run with 20t went pretty well, Nice speed and torque off the line. Coke can for size reference. Four Linked Wriath shocks with 1/4 spacers so they don't rub the frame. Right the Beast-Left 1.9 rig TRAXXAS 20T Stinger motor side by side RPM Revolver rims, Imex ALL-T 2.2 tires Last edited by mwscooters; 10-12-2011 at 02:27 PM. |

Looks Mean!!! and GOOD! But you may want to get a differant motor, that 20T stinger motor is gona burn up in no time... Find a good 27t rebuildable brushed motor, like a Trinity, Orion. check ebay for a good used one, But I think you may of just given me an Idea about my Honcho.... |

| Putting some Long Drive shafts on made for the Wraith, just waiting for them to show up. Drive angle really isn't that bad, it's still super smooth.

Checked Fed-ex, body should be here today. I'll post picks later. Thanks for all the comments, I know it's not a crawler but it is pretty cool. |

there is so much of the same thing on here, it is nice to see something a little out of the box at times. If anyone says "tires are too big, looks unscale, etc" F-em. Not that anyone has in this thread yet, but it usually happens. Sometimes people get caught up in the "have to do what is normal, or the popular thing" and forget that this hobby is about creating a rig you like and is individual. And having fun with it. I have a feeling you will see more like your rig soon. I have seen a few rigs popping up like this. None with tires quite this large. What is the measurements on those anyway? And nice job on the fender trimming. Very neat, clean and looks like it belongs. That is not easy to do and not have it look hack. | |
