Moving the battery is a good idea helps with lowering the center of gravity. Thats why I did it.

here is what i did to mine and it works good. took my receiver box and speed controller and velcro'd it to the battery plate then zip tied my battery straps to the shock hoops underneath the batt plate. i've rolled over a lot less this way.

im not waterproof yet but plan on it before winter as i want to finish the snow plow i started earlier in the year. all my electronics will be put into balloons.

Do the links hit the battery like that? It seems a bit unprotected.

When I flipped it around I noticed right away I had more room for things up front there. The motor can sticks out quite a bit. On a performance aspect after getting it all back together. I noticed my take off is alot smoother with the tranny/motor flipped. Im not seeing as much of that side surge.

I dont know if you have noticed. But when I accellerated the torque would twist my rig to the right. Kinda lifting the left tire a bit. Turning the motor/tranny seems to have gotten rid of some of that. If you do flip everything thing dont forget to rev the stearing and throttle on your controller.

my links dont hit the battery i got at least 1/4" of clearance at full flex. flipping the motor/trans around helping with the torque twist, to do that pull links off undo all the screws and stuff spin the whole skidplate 180* and bolt everything back up. once you flip the trans around your throttle/reverse will be backwards not sure what kind of radio your using but on my DX3E all i had to do was flip the throttle switch and its back to normal.

Yeah it took me longer to crack open the transmission and change out the stock gear inside then it did to flip the motor/tranny. Really glad I did it nice little mod.
