Default Is this transmission spacer necessary ?

It's the little green spacer behind the spur gear.

I have an axial transmission set and I have the Wraith spur cover and it won't fit together with this spacer in there. Has anyone ever run without it?
Thanks

I believe the spur cover eliminates the use of the spacer.

Cool, I was thinking that because it has a little groove cut the perfect shape of the motor plate. I Figure the spacer helps sturdy the motor plate.

i actually just got done putting the spur gear cover on about an hour ago and there is no way the spacer will fit with the cover. so im pretty sure you will be all set with out it. i have the same amount of room with the cover on as when the cover was off with the spacer
