Default RC4WD 2Speed R2 Tranny ?

I recently installed a rc4wd R2 2 speed tranny in to my scx10 and i have the MIP driveshafts, the problem i have is the front drive shaft is now too long due to the size of the 2 speed. I tried to cut the shaft shorter but the splines on the female side of the shaft do not go all the way to the bottom of the inner part of the shaft so under full suspension the driveshaft slips.

Has any one else come across this issue? what driveshafts are everyone running?

i am also using the RC4WD mounting plate for the tranny in a SCX10

Thanks

Kev
