| My Dingo
This is my very first built rc and its the new scx10 dingo kit. For now all stock. Its getting a xl5 esc, 35 turn integy lathe motor, and traxxas 2075 servo. I'm not new to rc but new to the crawler seen. I will be getting a K5 blazer body for it and make it look like my 1:1 blazer. Heres some pictures of it.... let me know what you think. also what do you think I should do to it? I'm already planning to get some stock beadlocks and proline tires, eventually it'll get some MT claws to match my 1:1 truck. Also looking to get the level 3 lift kit any opinions? |

Nice job on the build but my question is are you using the Traxxas ESC and Servo because you already have them or are you buying them? If you have them already thats undertandable but if you are planning to buy them I would do some searching. There are much better items for really good prices in comparison. The XL-5 ESC has some good things to it, LiPo cutoff (new Version) waterproof but thats about it. I would reccomend something like a Holmes Hobbies BR-XL if you plan to run Brushed motors. It is 6s LiPo capable, Castle Creations programmable, Awesome drag brake (which the XL-5 does NOT have) drag brake is fairly important for crawling or trail running. The ESC is awesome, I use one in my Honcho without issue. If you plan to run Brushless there are a few but the one I use is the Castle Creations Mamba Max Pro. It is 6s LiPo capable, Can run Brushless or Brushed motors , it can run Sensored or Sensorless Brushless , it is EXTREMELY programmable. The drag brake is awesome on it which can be set to 213% and helps on hill climbs or getting over rocks. Now Servos are another similar item. There are plenty of servos out there that perform better for a very low cost. I believe the Traxxas servo is around 133oz but it is waterproof which is nice. I just picked up a NEW Hitec Waterproof servo (think its something like 5654WP) for 50 bucks. It has 180oz and is Waterproof as well, comes with an aluminum servo horn too. But there are TONS of great servos out there..... waterproofing them is as easy as covering them with liquid electrical tape. Take this info for what its worth, but good luck on future mods. |

Nice colour choice. Looks real nice. I run the XL-5 in my scx10, not having a drag break is a pain during comps. Any backward tire rotation is a penalty. I wish I'd spent a little more and got a water proof BR-XL. |

Thanks for the comments I'll have to look into the esc and servo, but for now I have other traxxas vehicles so I have spare parts. I dont plan to do any comps but mostly just mess around in the backyard. |

Well a little update I just got a rc4wd outcry esc for it, plus the k5 body, so as soon as they get here I'll get pics of it running. Right now I'm waiting for a radio.

91 blue , just a suggestion. On the K5 , why dont you cut the bumper off the body ? Or did you want the 2 bumper look? Just asking! Other wise its a extremely sweet looking truck! Real scale look bro! |

Hey bud, do you have any pics of the dingo body from the top down? I want to paint the ”interior” of mine black but I can't figure out where to mask it off.
