Default brushless esc with brushed motor?

Will a Novac Crawler ESC run a brushed motor? i recently bought a rig that had a novac brushless motor and novac crawler esc but the motor was burnt out, wondering if one: the brushless motors are re-buildable and two: if the brushless esc will run a brushed motor any input would be HIGHLY appreciated, im new to the 1:10 crawling world but have been 1:1 crawling for years, thanks all in advance! Nate!

ive looked on Novak's site but doesnt say anything about motor requirements, the esc came with a sensored brushless motor in a kit and they dont have much information on it! Any help or insight would be appreciated! Its a Novak Brushless Crawler Esc red case purple fins, thats all it says on it accept for of course the positive and negative hook ups

There should be a schematic on their site. I'm running a gtb with a brushed motor in my FF03 and their site is where I flu.d how to wire it. Just know that if u wanna run brushed u won't need the sensor wire.

If it's a goat brushless system either 2s or 3s both can run brushed. http://teamnovak.com/download/instru...3S%20Instr.pdf. http://teamnovak.com/download/instru...at2S_Instr.pdf

If it's the supersport crawler system, only brushless. http://teamnovak.com/download/instru...rawler_ins.pdf

If it's anything else look here. Instruction Manuals
