|  wanna build bumpers
im wanting to try my hand at building a bumper for my scx10. jsut curious what u guys have used? i have some brake tubing its 3/16 i think its a little small and flemsey. any input would be very helpful i hope i can get one going pretty soon

I've used brass with good sucess. Just have to use good solder.

Steel rod welded or brass tubing/rod soldered.

I used 1/4" solid steel rod and silver solder with a MAPS gas torch for the rear, and RC4WD for the front  .

thanks guys i wanna try building one but the rc4wd one look real nice and are less then 40 bucks. kinda tempted to go that route gonna go by the local hardware store and see what they have to work with and make a decision.

I used .060 Aluminum sheet...   I forgot to take a pic before I closed it up, but that hoop is heavily welded inside the bumper. |
