The problem may be that your motor has advanced timing in the normal direction of rotation, and since you've reversed it to the other side of the trans you now have to run the motor in reverse to go forward. If it's a sealed can (non-adjustable) type motor there's not much you can do. If you have one that is adjustable, set the timing to zero degrees for equal speed forward and reverse.

Another thing you could try is to check the throttle trim on the radio. Make sure it's set to zero (neutral) and then reprogram the esc. Hope you can get it straightened out .

Tried that mate not good think ill will be running my honcho without a dig unit and I've seen them on there but they have used brushed motors could that be the problem ?

I looked up your motor and it has fixed timing (advanced in the normal rotation). If your ESC does brushed motors, you could always go that route. There are many to choose from and most are not too pricey.

I run brushed 35 turn motors on 3 cell lipos. Great low end torque and control with a decent top speed. Your motor is equal to a 23 turn brushed motor, so anything 21-35 turns should be fine. The timing can be adjusted by loosening two screws on the endbell and turning it slightly one way or the other. If it has adjustable timing, there will be a mark or pointer on the endbell and multiple lines on the can. The center line will be zero degrees. Turning the endbell in the direction of rotation will advance the timing, the oposite way will retard it.
