If you go to your local hobby store you could pay up to 80 of you want em right then and there. But I found em on Ebay for 65 for all 4. Just had to wait to get em was all. As far as shock oil weight it's your preference. The guy that did a crazy jeep cherokee build for rc car action used diff fluid I think 80 wt or something crazy like that. You just gotta try somethin to start and go from there.

Yup brand new. Just go on Ebay.com and type in proline scaler shocks then choose the one you want. On the fluids, the higher the number the thicker the fluid. The thicker the fluid the slower the rebound/compression. Reverse that for thinner fluids

Ive used the losi 4 in crawler shocks, didnt care for them. Used the proline scaler shocks, didnt care for those as well. Then went to the stock SCX10 shocks, love those.

Currently, I have a set of traxxis big bores that look promising.

No problem. It's up to what works for you. I asked the same question to my local hobby store when I was setting up my shocks, they told me the same thing. Start somewhere in the middle and see if it suits your style of driving, if not change it up. The 45 just suited my style and my setup. If you want to check out the list of what I have done, it's in the "what to do next" thread a few spots away from this one.
