Question scx10 problem

So I spent about an hour trying to find a solution to this problem on here and couldnt. I took my scx10 out and it seemed like the front diff was having problems maybe stripping. It would seem like the gear was hanging up and cause the whole front end to hop almost.
i got home and it continued to do this. took everything apart and it seemed fine. Plugged a battery in and it did not do it. As soon as i put the two front wheels back on it started doing it again.
I have no clue what this could be. Please help.
If you guys need i could try to get a video of it because I'm sure i didnt explain it too well

You may have snapped a pin or have your bead locks inside out so they are rubbing.

Snapped a pin where? I had my whole differential apart and I didn't see anything wrong. All i Could think of what the bevel gear going in could be barely stripped and once a load is on (the wheels) it slips. My beadlocks are fine.

In the hex hub there is a pin that you may have snapped. The hex hub is what the wheels mount too and if you pull it off there is a pin.

You're positive that your bead lock rings are on the right way? I pulled mine of to switch tires and put one set on inside out. They rubbed the axle pretty bad. Also check your front drive shaft set screw.

So i just looked one at a time and did not see anything contacting. It does it regardless of what wheel is on the front. I'm 99% sure they are on right. And by inside out do you mean the ring on the outside on the inside or the right ring but flipped 180? And the set screw is fine

The ring on the outside on the inside. One ring is just a ring and the other is jagged if you know what I mean. That's assuming you are still using the stock bead locks.

Check the drive shaft between the axel and trans, where it mounts to the transmission. You may have rounded the output. I did this one time with similar symtoms.

Do you have the new style drive shafts? I read on URC few people had problems with them binding on the pin in the joint. One guy said he rounded of the slot the pin travels in in the ball and that helped.

I had a little bit of your problem on my Dingo when I first put it together but I installed overdrive in the front right away. I could not find what was causing it and it only did it when there was a load on the axle. I took the wheels off and it didn't do it but if I grabbed hold of the cvd it would start doing it. I got frustrated and just ran it that way and it went away after a few packs. I checked the diff gears and they seem fine so I'm hoping it was just part of breaking in the axles.

Here's a link it said quality should improve once its done being processed. It may be hard to tell but the rear is spinning consistently while the front seems to be binding, and it is vibrating.

That's a lot worse then mine was. The only other thing I can think of is your pinion in too far? On my rear axle I had to open the axle up push the pinion out while installing the drive shaft to the pinion because the tolerances with the new drive shafts and the older style underdrive kit I got were pretty tight and I would push the pinion into the ring gear when I first tried installing the drive shafts.

i know you said you took it apart? did you happen to check all of your axle bearings? it almost looks like you might have a bearing race locked up in there somewhere, you said it doesnt do it when the wheels are off? just when one or both of them are on?

I have an MIP from an AX10 I had. There's not much room for it to compress and I'm running with the pinion angled down slightly and lowered suspension I'm going to shorten the male spline end next time I have it apart so I can angle the pinion up some more. You might want to check yours as well.
