Default Question about Honcho body interchanging

Hey all. I currently have a dingo scx10, but really dig the Honcho look. If a buy a Honcho body w/ real bed/roll cage, will it attach with no problems to the Dingo kit? Do I need different body mounts?

One more question regardling the Honcho body....to get the "diamond plate" look, do I just have to spray the bed silver? I.e. is the lexan "textured" to give it that diamond plate look? I can't seem to see this in any pictures. Thanks!

yes, the lexan is textured with the diamond plate. to swap the body, you might need new rear body posts (which might be in your parts bag already) and possibly longer links. Other than that, should be a quick swap.

You'll also need to move your rear shock towers back to the other holes

I also have a Jeep Comanche body that someone is airbrushing for me....I'm assuming for that to fit, I'd have to make the same modifications?

Easiest thing for you would be to download the Honcho instructions and see where the dingo differs and change accordingly to get the Honcho wheelbase/configuration. If you still have your parts bag from when you first got your Dingo, all the parts that need to be swapped out will be included....basically just a link swap and shock position change with a few other adjustments. You can also download the new Honcho RTR instructions to see how to use the included plastic links and parts to make the rear a 4 link setup.

Hope that helps

The change between Dingo and Honcho wheelbases only takes 10 to 15 minutes so you can switch back and forth.
I switch between the Honcho body (original) and the Proline 2dr JK depending on how I feel that day.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I just went ahead and ordered a honcho axial 4 link kit, so that should take care of the wheelbase problem! I wanted to go 4 link anyways, so i figured this was a good time!
