A little more info/detail about your rig would help.

I would look at Shocks, a CMS, or a 4 link truss.

how about trying to change the oil in the shocks and/or buying some softer and harder springs for the shocks
you can find some of the springs at the hardware store
try different weights in your wheels
steel BB's will add weight
for a few dollars a different pinion gear can be bought, fewer teeth for slower and more power, more
teeth for faster but less power
these are just a few things to try to do to upgrade your truck/buggy
you also could try building a few scale size tools or coolers ,gascans etc out of sculpey clay
you don't have to spend hundreds of dollars to have a great ride

adding BB's to try and get weight in my tires did more harm than good.

your rig will just bounce and hop with any wheel speed.

Swapping out the stock driveshafts for T-Maxx shafts is hands down the best $20ish mod that you could do! Most of my mods are aimed at reliability. Performance comes second to me. What is a good performing vehicle if it's always broken?

i'd go with the link's also if it's a rtr. even if it's just the steering links. much more fun when your wheels actually turn when you want! either make or buy some links, if you start putting more power to the wheels or better shocks, it still won't help much when those plastic links fold up on you. i'd do that and then start with the other mods. a good solid frame is essential to getting that power and traction to the tires. what good is the power if all it does is fold the axles up under a truck? just my 2 cents.
