Default Scx10 wheels on an AX10

I converted my AX10 into an Scx10. I just ordered some scx10 wheels on eBay but they do not fit my ax10 axles. The hole in each scx wheel is not as big as the ax10 wheels. Is this common? Are the scx10 axles different, Or did I but the wrong wheels?

Thank you.

Axles are the same, I think your problem is the hexes on the axles are different just get some scx10 hexes or turn the ends down on a lathe.

Either pick up scx10 hexes or as was said, turn down the nub. You can also dremel it down. Had to do this on a couple different sets of hexes.

scx10 wheels use a narrow flat 12mm hex....ax10 wheels use a thicker 12mm hex with a "nub" in the center.....or you could run 2.2s on your scx10 ...some like it, lots don't want to like it! me i love it.
proper hubs will run you less than 10 bux.

Thanks for all the help! My 2.2 wheels are to big for my hilux body. I will order some scx hex nuts. I also need some shorter shocks as my ax10 shocks make the rig way to tall. What is a good brand and length shock to use?

The stock SCX shocks work very well... They measure about 90mm where the AX shocks are like 105-110mm.
I'd find yourself a set of stock SCX shocks and call it good. You can always upgrade from there if you want more travel.
