Default K7ZPJ's Honcho Build

This is my first SCX10 Trail Honcho Build and my first attempt at a build thread. I started this build to help pass the time while I was recovering from foot surgery. This added the challenge of doing most of the build while flat on my back with the foot in the air. It took a bit longer than expected to get it done.

Build Details.
· AX90014 Trail Honcho Kit
· Holmes Hobbies TorqueMaster Expert 540 45T
· Holmes Hobbies TorqueMaster BR-XL
· Hitec HS-7954SH Servo
· Futaba 3PL Radio
· Elite 1300 3S 11.1V 35C Lipo Pack
Mods (Not too many yet, need time to crawl and more $$$$$)
· Removed Bump Stops from Shocks
· Changed from 3 Link to 4 Link on both front and back.
· AX80078 Spur Gear Cover
Let me know what you think and any suggestions for mods.

Now for the pictures

I really like that paint job. Nice job. Get some weight on those rims and you will be all set....until upgraditis kicks in.

I finally got time to take the wheels apart and add the weights. I put a full wrap around the front wheel (4oz) and for the back I used 2 oz which is only a half warp that spread around the wheel in equal spacing.

It climbs a lot better now and spends most of the time right side up instead of wheels pointing to the sky. The approach angle with the front bumper doesn’t seem very good. I understand now why they have skids on it. It hits almost everything. So it looks like the front bumper is the next mod.

Thanks for taking the time to read my thread and for the nice comment. I am not the world's best painter but it came out ok.
You need to get your son that Honcho and take the time to play with him.
