Default Honcho full bodied Comanche w/ winch

Ok, so I've been on the forums here and drooling over these trucks for over a year now. I finally went out and picked up a kit and brought it home. Don't know how they managed to still have it but, i picked up a discontinued honcho kit with the aluminum links still factory sealed in the box (ax90014), from Hobbytown USA. While I was there i grabbed some 1.9 TSL Swampers and a Traxxas TQ 4ch radio and rec. Gonna keep the stock wheels on it for now, and I'll use the esc from my old losi night crawler since it still works. I'll get some pictures up as soon as I get them all uploaded.

i drilled two 1/8" holes in the center of the axle housing of one of my scx10's, one at the top in the front and one at the bottom in the back then used very short m3 screws to plug them, i used one of them meat injector needles to inject grease, just pull both screws out and inject in one until clean grease comes out the other, mine had a velineon on it and stayed in the mud but i never had any problems with bearings or anything else, just make sure you drill the holes with the axles apart and kinda over to the side where the spool rides

ok so i've been bashing my head in trying to figure out what i'm going to do with the battery, i dont like it sitting up that high and a 4600 mah battery is heavy, so my cog is way way up with it up on top of the electronics like that, not to mention i want to water proof this thing, so i orderd the proline jeep truck body from rc4wd and while i was there i ordered one of their 9300 scale winches, 4 channel radio i might as well get some use out of it. also with that body i'll be able to move the batter down to the frame in the back and use one of my radio shack project boxes to seal up all the electronics.

As a stop gap for myself, I ziptied my battery down right over the front axle. It's puts quite a bit of weight over it, and I can climb extremely steep inclines. Like I said, it's just a stop gap, but it's working great until I get around to changing the mount.

Higher is not better; just tippier. Stick with the 90mm shocks and ditch those lift bracket dealies.

i don't have any lift brackets on my truck i was looking to get a little more articulation, and maybe a little more ground clearance. 100-105 mm shock is what i'm looking for. just need an opinion on a good one.

The aluminum pieces that are holding the upper part of the shocks are also used as lift brackets.
