Do you want to change gearing? You're not giving us much to work with here. A little more info would be nice.

all these noobs... haha.. to answer your question, No you dont. i went from 1.9's to 2.2's on scx10 and im running the stock gears and a 55 turn motor. the only time i'd change the gearing is if i wanted to overdrive the front, makes the front tires spin faster than the rear for a tighter turning radius and helps on climbs. what body are you running? i know with the honcho body you have to either trim the shit out of the body or make a lift. |

I understand what you were asking, but what turn motor do you have? What gearing do you currently have? Do you have different gearing in your axles? These are what I was wondering. You don't need to change your gearing but you may if your motor is getting to hot.

Well what 2.2's? If they are a larger one you might get a slightly smaller pinion and if they're not on the larger side you'll probably be ok.

Yup, if your going to a larger diameter Tire, you could go to a slightly smaller pinion, it's just like a real truck, if you go from stock tires to larger offload tires, your gonna want a lower gearing. |

just save the headache of gearing and dont go to 2.2's... they look silly on a scaler. When was the last time you saw a toyota truck on 55" tires?

| Re: do I have to change ? Agree, I went down that road. Does it make the rig more capable?? Yes. Does it look stupid??? Yes..........Went with Rok-Lox 1.9s, as tall as some 2.2's but looks way more scale.
