Worked out very well. Front tire setting on a 4 inch glass.

How do you like them? Those remote reservoirs look like they're functional. How much travel do they have as opposed to the stock shocks?

Yes the reservoirs are functional I just have to get all the air out of the lines and its has about 4 1/4 inch of travel the stocks looked and felt cheap to me Sorry Axial. Please don't take it the wrong way guys the shock thing is just my opinion and you know what they say a opinion. lol

Thats pretty cool. I wonder if you'd really see a benefit from running a remote res shock in an RC crawler. Travel wise I meant how much more over all travel are the shocks, not how much longer are the shock extended. lol I'm going to have to measure how much travel I'm getting now since I know you're getting your tire 4.25" up.

I am really new to this but having a lot of fun. my thing is the build part. I also order some aluminum front and rear bumper mount. If you saw my video on the 3 racing winch i thought the bumper was getting pulled off. lol

I didn't see that video, but I'd love to. You should post a link up. I've had my frame twist up when I get hung up on stuff. I've also thought I was going to rip my body off a couple times. I like to drive hard, what can I say.

I've thought about aluminum cross members but their expensive and it still adds weight up high.

Update I have 20 wt oil in the shocks at this time. However I believe that its still to heavy of a oil. I did buy 17 1/2wt losi oil. Lets see how this goes . Also have the gold springs in the rear and sliver in the front.

Could it be that the shocks are over filled maybe? I know my shocks are stiff as hell and rebound hard when they're over filled. I run 30wt and with my shocks filled properly they cycle almost effortlessly.

I have these shocks as well and stopped using them cause I couldn't seem to get all the air out on one shock.
Do you have any tricks of the trade? how do you fill yours?

I have used over 50 black small wire ties. At this time i am go with the black springs and 17 1/2 wt losi shock oil. Now for the air thing no clue. But I can tell you that I got a new pack of 100 wire ties.

I used the shocks with no oil, just enough to keep them lubed. They will not work correctly filled with oil. The design of the c-clips holding the piston on is flawed. They cover the slot in the piston, which is not large enough anyways, resulting in very lathargic shock-action, no matter what weight oil you use.. You can attempt to line-up the c-clip slots with the piston slot, but they will move back over the slot.
They did work ok with no oil, kinda boingy tho.
I finally bought some real shocks...........Pro-Line 6060's

Sorry if I'm just blind, but what do wire ties have anything to do with these shocks, short of holding on the reservoir..?

If you remove the piston and cut 3 more slots on the nylon spacer and fill the shock body with 17 1/2 wt oil the shocks work great. Pro-line shocks in my opinion are overrated and overpriced. The fun thing about this hobby is making your truck your own. I hate to pull out my truck and see 5 other trucks with the same set up.

All the wire tires do is hold the reservoir to the shock body. I cut them off to change the springs or to add or remove oil.

Do you have more pics of the mods you did to the shocks? I'm not 100% sold that remote res will be beneficial on an RC scale. Its cool, but how does it affect performance for you? How do they perform and do you like them? How do they compare to other shocks you have run.
