Default Deadbolt RTR now shipping with no on/off for ESC?

I just bought a new in box Deadbolt off eBay to have a spare rig when my nephew comes over.

I noticed the rig doesn't have and on/off switch on the ESC like our other Deadbolt which was purchased last Fall.

Does anyone know if Axial changed their builds to not include on/off? Hoping this is the case as I noticed the motor has "bold new graphics," compared to our other Deadbolt's motor which indicates to me just some small changes in the RTR.

Or did I get a blem?

I can confirm this too. I talked to Axial support today and they confirmed they have dropped having an on/off switch and the reason is they found it was frying the ESC. Procedure now is to just plug battery in when ready to run and disconnect after. I have to admit is was very difficult to find this info. They indicated they did a running update back in Nov 15. At this time, there is no support FAQ on their website that describes this change and the box as well as instructions are NOT updated to reflect the change.

HTH,

Yep, no switch. I cut mine off and seal them up anyway. No big deal to me.

Just received my deadbolt 2 days ago, no switch.
Ran the truck for 15 mins & the c hub broke and one shock fell apart completely. Hmmm....
