Try the 20 if it builds heat try the 15. I think you'll be ok with that 18.5 though.

I just got done putting in the brushless setup talk about a torque monster but still have yet to take it out on the trails and see if that 20t pinion is going to work without any heat issues. if anyone else is running a brushless setup can you let me know what setup your running thanks.

I'm new to this gearing stuff so dont be to harsh |

Running a 17.5 novak ss and tekin rs on 54/14 32p gearing on 3s. It gets warm if I'm on it alot, but normal crawling/trail running is all good.

| Re: ESC is dead time for Brushless setup how long do you usually run it before u let it cool down and how is the wheel speed/torque with that setup ? might just try the same

I don't allow for any cool downs. Wheelspeed is decent enough, not a racer though. Torque is great, can't complain.

Well I had a 15t pinion to try but it would not reach the teeth on the spur so just might order some new pinion gears I think a 17t will work

it is a 48p i bought the scx10 as a roller so the spur is not stock but i'm pretty sure its a 48p i think it might be a stock wraith spur

im running stock gearing on my scx10 and its heavy with a novak ballistic goat esc and a 18.5 with a 3 cell and run it for 5 hrs while at big gtg and never have a heat issue my batt dies before it heats up all the way but if were doing some silly racing while waitning for the group it will heat up in about 10mins
