Default RC Rock Armor bumpers

Who has experience with them? They look great just gazing at pictures on the internet, but how is the fit and finish and functionality of these things in reality?

RPP Hobby has them in stock which is where I've been looking at them but haven't been able to talk myself into getting one yet.. They are a lot of money not knowing what you're getting into.

I'm especially eyeing the "Slayer" to replace the plastic one on my Dingo.. It's new, and I love the look and wrap around features of the plastic Dingo bumpers, but I hate the flex and weak nature of plastic and end up hating them after a while... SCX10 bumper

Love mine! It needed a little raise to clear my tires but, you probably don't have 5.83" x 2.2" x 2.2" tires. Also had to put a small spacer under the winch to clear the motor housing.

I also ordered from RPP. Delivery was VERY fast! They didn't send me a tracking # but I got an email from buySAFE immediately after placing my order. They are an online purchase insurance agent, of sorts. Made me feel safe with the purchase even though I never received a tracking number or any kind of notification that my order was on it's way. The bumper arrived 4 or 5 days after I ordered it, iirc.

I like that bumper a lot. Does it come with the silver piece on the bumper for the winch or do you have to buy it seperate?

I have one and I really like I.

The only thing I don't like is there is a lip on the bottom that sometimes hangs up. I will hit it with a grinder an round it over a bit.

I love mine. I just need to make a bracket to extend the front bumper out farther.

Oh RPP was never a concern. I'm a very loyal customer.. I'm on the opposite side of the country and I receive packages in 2-3 days.

Thanks for the pics guys, keep 'em coming.

Are they as adjustable as advertised? From what I understand you can raise and lower them in relation to the frame mounting and you can push them out by shimming correct? Not that I'd need to do that, on the Dingo I like it to be as tight to the body as possible.

On the front bumper I got I had to grind away part on my Hand Bro CMS to get the front bumper to mount it up mine also only came with two holes to mount in the stock scx10 chassis. I will be picking up a rear bumper for this winters rebuild.

Iv had mine for about a year and have ran many events with it. Yes it is adjustable up and down. It mounts with 4 3m screws and it has a very tight fit. As you can tell it gets used

i know the guy who makes them personaly, the bumpers are sick, i run the slayer bumper, i love it , the bumper mount slides in your frame rails, and has 2 holes on each side of mount for screws.

Now that's what I like to see.. Bumpers like these should be able to take some abuse and not budge and yours definitely looks like it's been in a battle or two with rocks and won. I like it.

Yeah, they adjust up or down by about 4 to 6mm. Be prepared to buy stiffer springs or turn up your preload, at least. These things are not light!

And yes, they do come with the fairlead!

Yeah I knew that I was wondering if I could just add a stinger or what? Thanks though man.

I like mine, but I did however modify them quite a bit.
Here is my "Build Thread" where you can see the bumpers and modifications.
