Default Short wheel base drivetrain solutions.

I am going with a short body on my honcho frame so I moved the rear axle up an inch or two. I understand how difficult it is with this frame to have a short wheel base and steep drive shaft angles but what are some solutions. Do they make better driveshafts that can work on steeper angles? should i move the transmittion forward on the frame or maybe drop it down a little? I've been maybe looking into getting one of those Dinky RC split skid set-ups.. let me know what you think..

thanks

Adjust your link lengths to point the rear axles' pinion upwards. You can get away with shorter wb that way. I've run like a 10"wb with no driveshaft binding.

Shorten the length of your upper links. (Assuming you have it 4-linked.) What you want to do is shorten the links enough to rotate the axle pinion upward. Ideally the driveshaft should form a straight line from the axle pinion to the transmission. I did this on my Dingo with 2.2s and it works great. No binding at all. Hope this helps!

If you shorten the uppers it'll rotate the pinion down. You want to shorten the lowers.

AxMan is correct. I LENGTHENED the upper links, while maintaining the stock wheelbase with the stock lower links. Sorry for that.
