stay off the throttle...

that will keep your leafs from bending.

Learn to drive the leaf setup,it's not a coilover setup so don't try to drive it like it is.

Learn to use the torsion and learn to float tires.

Only time ive seen leafs bend is when people are bouncing/banging their way up a line instead of trying to find the right line.

Not saying the leafs are better, just a different driving style.

My TF2 has pulled lines 2.2's had problems with..

Learn the leafs.

Weight/mass/volume are scaled down differently than linear measurements. They are cubed figures. You should be able to get an accurate scaled down weight for a 1:10 truck by dividing 1:1 weight by 10 three times. For example, my copy of my 9,000lb daily. Weighs 9lbs loaded and I’m happy with that. Unfortunately I don’t see a leaf spring scaler getting down to 4.7-5.6 lbs to accurately represent a 4700-5600lb vehicle. We don’t have the tools or materials yet to accurately replicate steel density scaled down, at least, I’m not aware of it if someone does.

This information is given I have interpreted the mathmetitian’s and engineer’s mumbo jumbo correctly. So who freaking knows but don’t pop my bubble if you find out I’m way off.

I've got leaf and coil setups, leafs are quite fun, add challenge to crawling and are sweet scale. To each there own.

I can make links much cheaper than leaf springs. Plus, most of the leaf spring builds I researched run a descent looking scale shock to go with them. Linked coilover set ups are easier to set up and much cheaper to run for me. They last longer and take more abuse. Switching to a leaf spring rear end on a couple builds was a choice I made after getting bored with the same set up and searching for the next scale step to take recreating my daily driver.

Poor man’s set up,

Leafs are amazing when driven properly. They limit flex and make you be better at choosing lines and driving. Extremely fun!

If you have problems breaking leaf springs stop buying RC4WD's. If you have problems bending them just put on anti-wrap links.

Flex is overrated!
