Default SCX10 Honcho question

Hi guys, brand new to the forum and scale rigs. My question is, I just bought a brand new RTR Axial SCX10 and would love to put a Silveraldo body on it. Could you guys tell me the best body for this and what I have to do to make one fit? Thanks in advance!!

The best body I would use is the Proline chevy silverado body. The first thing you would have to decide is if you want an extended cab or a quad cab. If you choose the extended cab you will have to shorten the wheelbase of the honcho to 11.4 which will fit it perfectly. On the other hand if you choose the quad cab body you can use the stock honcho wheelbase but it won't fit nicely. However, to make it fit all you have to do is cut the fenders to make the tires fit then it will look good.

Right now I am running the Proline chevy silverado 4-door on my scx10. Heres a link to my video of it:

Hope this helps!

Cool deal, that is the video I was watching to make me decide to put the silveraldo on mine! What is the part number for that body on your SCX10? Is it the 07 Chevy silveraldo crew cab part # 323000 or the Chevy Silveraldo 2500 HD 335700. Did all you have to do to it was open up the wheel wells a little? Thanks for your time!

Billy

it comes with 1.9s. 2.2 will fit but it will vary on ride height and how much you want to trim you lid. i dont like trimming the lid and dont want any rub and run a low ride height so i stick with smallish 1.9s. some guys go tall and other trim the wheel wells alot!

So far I found the Proline 07 Chevy Silveraldo Crew Cab part #323000 with a 13.0 wheelbase. I am hoping that is like the one on Raiders scx10 in the video. I will check out the revo and max lids also. Thanks!

Yep! The Proline 07 Chevy Silveraldo Crew Cab part #323000 with a 13.0 wheelbase is the one I am using. And yes, all I had to do was open the fenders and I got the bottom of the front bumper of the body so it fit nicely with the summit front bumper.

Okay dumb question but here it goes, How do you get the nut covers off the wheel nuts?? They are stuck like chuck on mine. Do you have to pry them off (Im guessing) or is there a tool for this?

Thanks
