| Newbie Axial Rubicon Questions!!
I am new to crawling and have been a traxxas basher for a while. Picked up my first scale rig, Axial Unlimited Rubicon rtr, few weeks ago. Not many mods as of yet. Just replaced the 1.9 with titus 2.2 and scale 2.2 mud slingers. Will post pictures soon. My question is: I want to upgrade for full aluminum suspension and steering links. Please let me know what I need. Don't have a lot of time to make them as I have seen so looking to buy the kits. I can't seem to find what I need for the rubicon. Thanks!! |

(EDIT: ^^^beat me to it) You need this: https://www.ckrccrawlers.com/ax30550...mm-p-2532.html The rubicon has the same wheelbase as the honcho so this is the easiest option.

Are there any titanium or SS kits? I've seen people selling them homemade here. I'm looking to buy from a company or site. Is the AX30550 all the upper and lower links plus steering? |

See post #7 and #17 in that first thread I linked you too, and yes the AX30550 kit does upper/lower suspension and steering all in one kit. I went with the Axial kit on My Recent Build, but in hindsight I wish I had gone with Ti. or SS... the aluminum stuff is getting beat up pretty bad already, and I only have a dozen batteries runtime on them. |

By beat up do you mean just look ugly or getting damaged? I want to upgrade but want it to last. Digging the build. Last edited by THX_138; 02-05-2013 at 12:49 AM. |

Nothing has bent (yet), but at the high rate of wear I wouldn't be surprised if I rub all the way through into the hollow part of the tube at some point! I do alot of rock crawling, they may last much longer on a trail rig? Nice lookin' rig's by the way! |

Ive got three years of crawling on my aluminum links with no holes. The color will grind off them rather quickly though.
