Default dingo/cherokee or rubicon kit?

Trying to decide if i want to wait for the rubicon kit or get a dingo kit and do a cherokee to match my 1:1. I really like the look of the rubicon with the hard top and have seen a few white 1:1 rubicons with the roof and flares painted to match the body color and i love the stormtrooper look they have but i also think it would be cool to have a scaler to match my 1:1 just wondering what others think.

Dingo's wheelbase is short. Wrangler will have the correct wheelbase out of the box. Asuming we are talking about the Pro-Line XJ body.

I believe the proline xj is the dingo wheelbase so it should drop right on the dingo kit it just sucks that they discontinued the interior. i would do both but my wife would kill me

If it makes any difference, my Dingo was 11.5" freshly built. 4-linked front and rear with provided plastic uppers, and bent rod ends on the front lowers has it right around 11.7-11.8"

I would go with the dingo and the xj body. You will have a little more unique rig since there are going to be lots of people doing the JKU kits.

You can get the Dingo kit for a little bit cheaper than the JKU kit too.

I wouldn't worry about the links. That is easy to fix by either making or buying different length links. I swap bodies on my SCX 10 so I have different sets of links for each body.

i myself bought a rtr honcho and used the spare links to shorten the rear to dingo specs and put my cherokee (XJ) body on it. reworking my body tho now so im rocking the honcho in the mean time

Any ideas for an interior without scratch building one. I built my wraith and my exo from kits and love building but have no experience with styrene and if I have to I will give it a try but would like to find something I can mod to fit.

here is the 1:1 its an 87 that my dad built when i was a kid the trans went bad so it sat for 12 years until i got it from him i figure since they didnt change them intil 97 the proline would match and wondering if anyone has ideas on 1.9 wheels to match my wheels they are stock jeep tj wheels but i haven't seen anything similar. i figure i can weld up some bumpers and rock sliders to match mine.

I saw on rpphobbys Facebook page that Gear head rc is going to be producing a Champ 500 style wheel which is very close to that jeep wheel. Hope this helps!
