Default Transmisson question

has anyone ran a two speed trans in there rig. And if so does it hold up well im getting rid of my shortcourse truck (just burnt out on them) and wanted to know if a little more speed is possible out of these trucks. i have seen viedeos of people running them but just want to know if it is worth it. thanks for the answer's

Harley ran one of the RC4WD ones in a TTC Wraith, brushless and 3s and had no problems
