SCX10 Plow

I am making my scx10 into a scale looking silverado 3500 dually plow truck and here is the plow build. the only thing you all might not have is a torch for brazing, but more on that later. I thought and researched ideas for the design but most of the plow videos I saw on youtube were either too simple and had no servos attached to move it or were computer designed and laser cut so i set out to create an easy yet realistic plow and so far its going good.

For the plow arm i used a TMaxx a arm that i cut out, screwed some panels on for a servo mount and screwed it in place. I drilled out the end of the arm and put in a rod end off of a thunder tiger heli that will be the main swivel point of the plow. I also used the linkages from the heli that will be mounted to the same bracket that lets the plow swivel allowing me to change the angle of the blade


Ill post some pics of the plow later but its not too hard to make....i used galvanized HVAC sheet metal for mine and brazed a bracket to the back for the plow arm (galvanized steel is toxic when you braze/weld it so be sure your in a ventilated area if you use the stuff I did)

The mount will be made tomorrow out of an old aluminum trex 450 frame i have laying around
