Default New to the scaler world - huge change!

Hi all, I recently stepped into the "scaler" world and WOW, SHOCK! I have been a TRAXXAS RTR guy for the past 20 year or more and I just acquired an SCX10 Rubicon, Dingo and 2 ridgecrests. I admit, 2 showed up unexpectedly but I couldnt walk away from the deal.

The dingo and 1 ridgecrest turned out to be projects, I just dont like leaving well enough alone!

So, starting simple, I have a quick question about the SCX Dingo. It came with the smaller tires and my Rubicon has the larger Trepador tires. Can I put the larger tires on the Dingo body even if I change it to the Honcho body? Will I need to lift the body or cut the fenders back for the larger SCX tires to fit effectively?

Thanks for your time

"Red"

I'm thinking you'll probably be fine on tire clearance. Both bodies have a decent amount space for Trepadors. Only one way to find out!

Welcome Red. I recognize your screen name from the Traxxas Forum (my screen name on Traxxas is JayMcGill). I dont really have much input, but just throw the tires on and see what happens. I just installed some RC4WD Jeep JK beadlocks with Super Swampers. I have yet to try them out, but man they look cool.

Should have plenty of clearance.

Thanks for the welcome and input so far...I have a feeling this is going to be a LONG fun journey!

Anyone have pictures? I would like to see what I am getting before I put money into tires. Thank goodness it came with beadlocks - saves me from getting rims too. Sigh....I was trying to sell vehicles so I would have money for my other cars....now I have more cars and no money to throw at ANY of them!!! UGH LOL!!!

Hey Red! Congrats on the purchases. When you get set, make sure you take it to Palmer Park for crawling. Best place I have found in the Springs! PM me if you want to crawl.
