| SCX Rubicon worth every penny
This may be the wrong place to post this- if so I apologize! I bought my rubicon about 2 weeks ago and have had a blast since. But today made it worth every penny. After throwing some rocks around an stump in the backyard my grown sons (19&21) ran my truck with me for hours!! It has been a long since they hung out with dad, but they loved it. Even my granddaughter enjoyed it! Both looking to buy rigs now so we can run together. Thank you - if not for this message board I probably would have never ponied up and bought one! My son (6) and my father inlaw run ours all the time. Love spending time with them out on the trails. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2 |

Awesome. I've run fast revos and slash 4x4s until I recently got an SCX10. My 2 year old daughter was scared of the fast stuff but LOVES the crawler. Hangs all afternoon in my crawler course walking behind it giggling the whole time. Nothing better than making it a family affair, no matter how old.

I remember my older brother got a RTR scorpion back when they first came out, then me and my dad each got one, and we use to play for hours on end on a rock pile me and my brother built. IMO these are a great family hobby, everyone can get a crawler they like and go out and play...

BOSS!!!! I can relate fo sho.... I bought my wife a rubicon kit thinking we would build it together and run together. As fate would have it, she was not too thrilled with the build but my 2 year old helped me a TON. This past weekend, she wanted to go to the park and to get me to go, she said...."why dont you bring your RC cars with us"! Yes, I went to the park! When I put the SCX in her hand she didnt want to put it down. My son and I were driving Ridgecrests.....the repair time on his ridgecrest is about to reach 2 hours now! HAHAHAHA! WORTH EVERY PENNY - Worth every minute. Getting my wife into Trailing and rock climbing......PRICELESS |

Funny...my son and I ran on-road cars when he was about 8...1/12 scale. Now he's grown and has sons of his own...the youngest is definitely a gear head...claims every truck/car toy that comes into his house as his. Their dad traded for a Honcho and a Losi mini crawler for some side work he did. That was the first exposure I had to a crawler. Now I have 6...sold all the on-road stuff to fund this addiction. The 4 of us get together every chance we get, and break stuff...as a 5 and an 8 year old would. Grand-pa fixes them for free....priceless in my book Nothing like family |

is there something that she has had her eye on lately? Tell her you want to take her to look at it and maybe do a little trail blazing before hand....you do something she wants and she does something you want. It may work, it may not. back up plan.....you have to plan a picnic near your rock crawling spot! "Man, look at those rocks, I wish I had my RC with me. That looks like fun. OH WAIT, I forgot I left it in the back of the car....come on honey try it with me"!!! |
