| 2 Speed tranny questions!
Ok, so I would like to get a little speed out of my Rubi, and as far as I have seen this is probably not the most cost efficient way, however it seems to be the most convienent way since I will have the ability to shift on the fly. Question: 1: What all parts do i need to make this happen, in conjunction with this Tranny!! AX2 2 Speed Transmission for Axial Wraith & SCX10/Honcho 2: Are there any other reasonable tranny options? 3: Does anyone have this setup and how do you like it? |

I'm running a Summit trans in my 2.2 scx10 chassis truck. It's much larger and heavier than the RC4WD trans. But, it's gear ratios are further apart... which I like. And, it's virtually indestructible... which I love! |

I have the AX2 2spd tranny, and i havent ran it outside at all, so im not experienced with its performance. The things you will have to change or fix are the angle of the rear driveshaft, all i did was adjust my links to stop the driveshaft rom binding. Another thing is that you will have to rotate the trans 180 degrees, so the longer shaft is towards the rear. But other than that this transmission is completely awesome, almost 100% metal.

Awesome, so now onto my next question. I will need a 3 or 4 channel remote In order to run the transmission and be able to shift on the fly correct? Also will I need to purchase a separate servo to run make the gear changes happen? (I guess the real question is what electronics will I need to run this setup) lol Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD |

yeah, the only time I have ever felt the need to shift on the fly is during a comp hill climb. You can not stop forward progress.
